The Sundance Series NMI320 is a System-on-Chip (SoC) Integrated Circuit (IC) that implements the Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting for Terrestrial Television Broadcasting (ISDB-T) specifications of the Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB) Standard STD-B29. Specifically, the NMI320 supports 1- and 3-segment ISDB-T reception. Figure 1 shows that the NMI320 is an SoC that implements the RF tuner, demodulator, decoder/deinterleaver, and peripherals on a single die.

The key features of the NMI320 are:

• Fully compliant 1-segment and 3-segment ISDB-T reception according to ARIB Standard STD-B29
• Power consumption: Less than 75 mW in 1-seg mode and 90 mW in 3-seg mode
• Built-in ultra low power CMOS RF tuner
• Fully integrated VCOs, PLL loop filter and crystal oscillator
• Ultra-low sensitivity: -98.8 dBm for QPSK mode rate ¨ö in UHF/VHF band (13-segment power)
